Former MarkWest Energy Partners Executive Steps Into Leadership Position

Denver, Colorado — May2, 2019 — SolSpec, a provider of remote sensing and data analytics for pipeline construction and operations, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bryan Crowe to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Mr. Crowe will oversee SolSpec’s daily operations, finances, and customer success.

In addition, SolSpec has doubled its headcount over the last year, adding additional GIS developers and data analysts to further accelerate the development of its aerial analytics platform and improve customer support services for oil and gas construction and pipeline operations companies. To accommodate its growing team, SolSpec also recently moved its offices to Novel Coworking in Denver.

Toby Kraft, SolSpec’s co-founder and CEO, said the executive leadership and expansion is part of the company’s growth strategy to meet the growing demand by companies in the oil and gas sector to increase operational efficiency and mitigate risk through predictive analytics and digital transformation. “Due in part to a strong spirit of innovation, collaboration and determination, we saw in Bryan a strong and dedicated business leader who is going to be a tremendous asset as we take SolSpec to the next level.”

Mr. Crowe was the General Manager of MarkWest’s Northeast pipeline operations and led his team through a high growth period while establishing a reputation as a thoughtful and innovative business leader. A long-time employee of MarkWest, Mr. Crowe served in various capacities with increasing responsibilities in both the operations and government affairs segments of the company.

Kraft said that Crowe’s experience at MarkWest trained him for this role. “Throughout his tenure, Crowe gained valuable experience and a diverse understanding of how the energy industry operates and is regulated and will bring that perspective to SolSpec. His unique views and background provide him with the knowledge necessary to take the lead as chief operating officer and my partner in success.”
